Hi there. My name is Joe. And I'm currently living life in Hawaii.

I guess you could say I got bit by the travel bug when I attended university in my home-state of Texas. My senior year, I took a summer course in which we traveled through Europe for a month. Since then, I've traveled and lived in different places throughout the United States. I traveled to Hawaii on three different occasions and fell in love with the island lifestyle. Now, I live here and have made a home out here.

I love travel, and I love seeing the world. And I can't wait to get back out there again. But for now, I enjoy seeing the other travelers who come to Hawaii. I work at a hostel in which I see and meet people from all over the world.

Over the years I've attempted to make travel part of my life. But of course I can't travel all the time. That's why I live in Hawaii and work in the travel industry so I can still surround myself with that lifestyle. I have a travel blog that I created back in 2008 when I was traveling different places across the U.S. I plan to revamp it soon to focus more on Hawaii and become a resource for things to do here. Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I love Couchsurfing. I started couchsurfing back in 2008 when I began traveling across the U.S. I met some great people. Everyone has been so hospitable. I feel like I've met some long-time friends. And I hope to meet even more.

I have a very tiny room I live in right now. So I'm not able to offer a couch. But if my schedule allows, I'd love to meet up. We can hang out, grab a bite to eat, recommend some sites, show you a few places.

Traveling, of course!! Ha Ha!!

I like being outdoors, hiking and backpacking, the beach, and just seeing new places. I like going to the movies and hanging out with friends and just having a good time.

Other things I like to do but don't really do that often... horseback riding, and playing tennis.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I went skydiving in Texas.
I traveled Europe for the first time.
Got to work at the 2008 SuperBowl in Arizona.
I saw the Grand Canyon.
And I went gliding over the northshore of Oahu.

(I can't limit this to just "one" amazing thing. I plan to add more in the future.)

I'm a numbers guy. Algebra was my favorite subject in high school. :-) I have a degree in finance, and enjoy sharing my personal knowledge about money management and budgeting.
