UPDATE: Chose a few fun/simple songs for us to look over ahead of time so we have a place to start! Posting the lyrics/tabs for you all. The ultimate guitar website lets you transpose songs up or down so that you can play them in different keys - so I'm suggesting we change the keys of a few of these so the chords are easier to play for those people who only know a few.
I just picked some songs based on the suggestions in the thread - went with stuff that seemed pretty simple and well-known. I might add a few more later! If you have any more ideas, sound off!
Bob Marley - Three Little Birds

This is it, guys! Grab your guitars, harmonicas, banjos, violins, saxophones, tubas, singing voices, djembes, kazoos, cellos, recorders, panflutes, pots and pans, and anything else that makes noise and join me for the very first (that I know of) CS Philly jam session! Everyone is welcome, whether you're a virtuoso or you just like to sing along to the radio.
We'll gather at my apartment in Center City (message me or text for the address - I'll post my phone number in the comments as the date gets closer). I have a pretty large living room with a digital piano which anyone is free to use.
We'll stick to acoustic this time so more people can join in and you don't need to lug heavy equipment to my place. Keep in mind that I live in a fourth-floor walkup and anything you bring, you'll have to carry up the stairs!
Please bring something to snack on and drink if you'd like (although if you bring your drinks near my piano I'll stab you). When we get sick of jamming, we can grab drinks and dinner at one of the many restaurants/bars nearby.
Any questions, suggestions, whatever - shoot me a message or leave a comment. So excited to meet you all and make some music! :)
