Anyway, buyin is $11, $10 of which goes toward a (top three) I believe prize pool and $1 toward a freeroll at the end of the month.
They run the tournament, I believe, off a small kickback from the bar since you have to spend like $15 bucks at the bar on food or drinks to get extra chips.
The other thing is, you don't have to be an expert to play since the chipstacks are small relative to the blinds, so there tends to be fairly loose play. Translation, you have a chance to hang and win even if you are not so great at holdem. I'd consider myself low intermediate...
I'm staying nearby so if I haven't received the last round of summer assignments for grading yet, it's negotiably a small game on afterward. Or possibly something lame like a movie.
