There is a karaoke bar in the city and I recently started working there a couple of nights a week as a security guard and the owner of the bar is a very nice person and he is cs friendly.
I asked him to organise a cs karaoke night there and he was more than happy to host us plus giving his biggest room for free.They have the latest and the most updated karaoke system.Its a very clean and classy place called STARS KTV MELBOURNE.A very friendly atmosphere.The deal is that he gets no entry fee from the couchsurfers and the biggest VIP room hire is for free plus all the house wines (red and white) all the beers including imported beers like corona and etc are 5 dollars.Normally its 9 dollars but just for the couchsurfers its all 5 dollars.He told me he will do a discount for the other drinks as well but I havent talked to him about the other drinks yet.You just have to say you are a couchsurfer at the door and you have to say the same thing to the bartenders.You can just come and sing and enjoy the atmosphere if you dont drink you dont have to pay for anything at all.Plus its open till 6 am.
