Chicagoblock, Stories from the Elevator
Synopsis
On the 'wrong' side of Antwerp, on the left bank of the Schelde, you'll find a block of flats that rises above its surroundings. The people of Antwerp have named it 'Chicagoblock' and see it as a place where you would rather not go. In this building poor Belgians live next to immigrants, over 35 nationalities people the 25 stories. In this concrete beehive a camera is posted in the elevator where the occupants are passing in front of the lense. The camera follows some of them home and tells their story: Great and small stories that rise above their vicinity.
