Something to do during the day while everyone waits for White Night

SAND SCULPTURES - Five giant sand sculpture will be completed for viewing from 16th – 23rd February. Each sculpture will be created using up to 3 to 5 tonnes of sand per sculpture.

Experience the gigantic sand sculptures featuring local buildings, attractions and events such as Cirque Du Soleil’s, Ovo, which is currently showing until March 31 under the famous big top at the Docklands – a performance featuring a fantasy world of creepy crawlies – not to be missed!

DIG DOCKLANDS -Remember playing in the sandpit in the backyard with your Tonka truck? Ever marveled at the huge machinery constructing new roads and housing estates? Docklands certainly is home to plenty of machinery as the work to develop the area continues so why not embrace the ‘big dig’ and take part in ‘Dig Docklands’

You can easily get to the event from the city circle tram (get off at the cow up a tree stop on Harbour Esplanade) or get off at stop 10 on the free Shuttle bus.
