Once again, the Balboa Theatre celebrates the Academy Awards with a live broadcast on the big screen, Sunday February 26th, 2012. Reed Kirk Rahlmann returns as Master of Ceremonies.

Dress up or down as your favorite nominated movie (literal translation and bad puns allowed), or as a movie star to add to the celebrities on our runway. There will be prizes for the most creative costumes and just for showing up. And this year they will be selling beer and wine.

Reed Kirk Rahlmann is a writer and performer who will provide entertainment during commercials. He was a founding member of the improv ensemble True Fiction Magazine, and can often be seen down at Pier 39, walking on glass to entertain tourists.

Doors open at 3:30 pm for the Red Carpet and the show starts at 5pm.
