MEETING POINT:
The meeting point is so easy, we will meet in Opera "Gezira" metro station, IN FRONT OF TICKET WINDOW, not outside, there's only one ticket window inside the station so, it's a perfect point to meet.
the meeting at 7:45 AM and we will wait 30 minutes, till 8:15 AM
at 8:15 AM we would start moving -using Metro- towards "Ataba" then switch the line for one station to "Bab Alsharia".. where we would start our day from there..
note: Opera or Gazira, both are the same station.
the station is at metro line 2.
and here's Cairo's metro map: http://www.urbanrail.net/af/cairo/cairo.htm
For all who may find meeting us in opera station may be hard for them for any reason .. There would be SECOND MEETING POINT: so you can join us in front of the tickets window of Bab Alsharia باب الشعرية Metro Station we would wait there only for for 15 minutes from 8:45 AM till 9:00 AM Sharp
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
P.S. You can Join us at any stop during the day so just give me a call to check where we would be at that time; and cause we would still be in the core of the city it would be so easy to leave any time you want..
What would you need during this trip.. passion and having enough sleep the day before is highly recommended then be sure don't forget your cameras, extra batteries & charger (for your camera or your mobile) that was the main issue facing many CS friends doing this trip with me every time..
P.S.: Appropriate dress for both men and women is not just polite but necessary if you want to enter mosques; for women legs and shoulders must be covered (and it make it easier try to get a scarf with you). Wear sturdy shoes that can be easily slipped off and comfort for walking.
We would have more than enough stops to rest during the day so you can either bring your favorite snacks & drinks with you if you want or just buy from any of the corner shops we would pass by during the day so don't worry it is not exhausting at all.
Ah ..had i forget to mention how much this day would cost ..
Most of the places we would enter are totally free; however some amazing points needs entrance tickets ..
For Adult Foreigners that would be around 100 LE.
for Student Foreigners that is half the ticket only 50 LE but don't forget to bring your student card with you.
for Egyptians & Arab .. you are so lucky that would be less than 20 LE.
Looking forward to met you all with a big smile..Cheers,
