Hi couchsurfers!

I am organizing an event for the Dopper Foundation, an international nonprofit based in Holland, for World Water day on March 22 in San Francisco.

We're going to be building building a 14 ft. wave in San Francisco made out of 6,000 single-use plastic bottles (the amount Americans throw away every 4 seconds) and we need your help building the wave. The frame of the wave has already been created so we mostly need people to help us attach the bottles to the frame via ties and chicken wire.

We are looking for volunteers for both (or either) days, March 16th and 17th. We'll be providing lunch and Dopper bottles for volunteers. We'll be work at Marco Cochrane's studio on treasure island so you'll also get great views of the city and an up close look at his beautiful metal sculptures- http://fogguy.aminus3.com/image/2011-06-04.html

The Dopper Foundation was created by Dopper, a social enterprise that makes beautifully designed sustainable water bottles now being introduced to the US market. Dopper donates 10% of its proceeds to the Foundation for clean water access projects in Nepal and teaching educational campaigns around single-use plastic waste in Holland and the US.

Please email me at lexi@dopper.com to confirm your attendance.

Thanks!
