About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'm trying to seek out the essence of things by looking beyond the bs.

ABOUT ME

Hey all, I'm a 29 year-old guy and I just recently left an office job to work with a volunteer organization called Amigos de las Americas. When I was 17 I had the opportunity to live in the cool mountains of rural southwestern Honduras with the same organization, and since then I've had an insatiable wanderlust.

I love to travel, try new foods and drinks and get to know people from everywhere and all walks of life. I've become increasingly torn between wanting to go and see new places or go back to the wonderful places and people where I've already been, so I figured the best option would be to do both! I'm very open-minded and logic-oriented but am mostly just a friendly and curious soul trying to make my rounds.

PHILOSOPHY

Nobody chooses what situation they're born into, and everybody does what they can with what they have. Throw a handful of differences aside and people are the same anywhere. Everyone, and everything, is just some kind of inevitable materialization of matter. I can expand on this if you're interested, kinda tired now, maybe I'll do this later in more detail.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm working and traveling so unfortunately I'm unable to host but I hope to one day, if I'm ever rooted or established anywhere, host csers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I tell people that I prefer to couchsurf when I travel, they tend to look at me like I'm crazy. What I tell them though is that I actually feel safer this way. There's no better way to get to know a place then to spend time with people who actually live there, and they can be a great reference for where to go and what to do, and also how to stay safe. I don't like hotels because it's kind of isolating being put in your 'own' room with a TV and a bed. I enjoy hostels because of the social aspect, but I've had amazing experiences couchsurfing and hope to have even more!
