I was born in Brazil, raised by a traditional business local family, a
mix of native Brazilian and Italians. That is why we are all so good
looking... ;-)
It is a family that embraces its members and friends, and of self made
men. Some, including my father, grew a business to have 300 team
members, dozens of millions in revenue, starting from scratch. It
taught me that everything is possible, and life is about trust,
family and friends.
In the mid 90's, I was challenged with the opportunity to come to a USA
College. As part of a scholarship offer, I was put true a school exam
similar to the USA's SAT, but this one is ranked. Amongst nearly 3500
contestants, I placed 3rd and I was off the USA. I soon realized
that being in an environment like that did not provide me with true
entrepreneurship abilities, and I was back in Brazil to found my own web
site design company at 19 years old, leading a small team of 5 people
(the oldest being 31 years old). After the back and forth of the DotCom
era, where not the most traditionally educated could fully understand, I
established myself as a Creative Director for Silvertech.com, Web
Development company with nationally recognized clientele.
CouchSurfing.com is a reality that I believe happened in my life, to
fulfill my purpose to help people understand each other. I believe I will one
day help lead people to a better life, in a mix of politics, travel and
preaching good life values.
If I was to create an acronym for life, I would call it ACT. Awareness,
consequence and trust. CouchSurfing.com could be defined by these 3
words, where people with desire to make change, with desire to highten
the best of their abilities, a heart of gold that almost everyone
has.... they can do things that they have always imagined.
