We have an excellent number of great hosts in our city. Please take your time to use the couchsearch feature to find a suitable host. If you're not able in finding a host or want to post an Open Couch Request make sure you post a message on Open & Last Minute Couch Requests where some people may be able to host last minute!
Eating, Drinking and Dancing!
Eindhoven has a lot to offer when it's comes down to eating, drinking and dancing! Below you will find a few places where we go to on regular base:
- Dommelstraat / Stationsplein
In the Dommelstraat you will find lots of bars, restaurants and cinema "Pathe". Some of our favorite's are "The Rambler", "Effenaar", "Boekencafe", "The Coctail Bar", "Eazie Wok" and "Sizzling".
- Grote / Kleine Berg
The Grote Berg also has an excellent choice in bars and restaurants. A bar that we can definately recommand is "Cafe De Baron". They serve and excellent number of special beer. "Bagel and Juice" is an excellent place to meet up and have lunch! Or go to Spoon in the evening to practice your dancing moves!
- Stratums Eind
This street has over 60 bars! Everyone will find a bar of his kind in this street! You will find a lot of couchsurfers in the "Beerproffesor", "Santiago", "Spijker" and "Tomas". You can also play a game of pool and lasergames at "Laser Quest EHV".
Yearly events in Eindhoven!
- Carnaval (Lampegat De Gekste)
Every year there is a big carnaval celebration in Eindhoven, no need to give much more information about it, just come and party with us! Unfortunately the website is only in Dutch.
- Museum Weekend
Every year a couple of museums in Eindhoven open their doors for free during the "Museum Weekend" which is organised throughout the entire Netherlands. Click the link to see which museums participate this year!
- Queensnight / Queensday
Every year we celebrate the birthday of our queen Beatrix with fleamarkets, live performances, parties and all kinds of activities. Be sure to dress orange!
- Park Dance
For those who like to shake their booty!
- Lake Dance
The best summer beach party of the South! Waterfront Aqua Best, against a backdrop of palm trees, with your feet in the sand and a cocktail in your hand!
- Fiesta Del Sol
The Fiesta del Sol is its combination of music and theater, a unique festival. The programming is a mix of entertainment and culture, music and theater. Throughout the entire city center and free of charge!
- Park Hilaria
Park Hilaria is more than just fair! More than 1 kilometer rides and terraces for all ages, young and old. As many as 10 days with non-stop fun and a variety of free live performances.
- Lighting Route"
A unique and stylish event with which Eindhoven for over 50 years of World War II celebrates its liberation.
- STRP Festival
STRP Festival is one of the largest art & technology (e-culture) festivals in Europe, that fuses music art and technology.
Eindhoven Airport has a few good budget airlines such as Wizzair and Ryanair.
Transportion to the airport or from the airport can be done by bus. You can either take line number 401 which departs every 10 minutes directly to central station or take line number 145 which departs every 30 minutes which has a few stops in between.
