Phyrgians arrived at Anatolia from Thrace and the Bosphorus and and after establishing temporary settlements in Thrace and South Marmara, they moved to inner parts of West Anatolia. Phyrgians who came out as a political union at 750 BC for the first time were one of the tribes coming from the Balkans. Although they came from outside of Anatolia, they gradually fused with local cultures and became 'Anatolian', created authentic anatolian culture and kept on their cultural existence for over a thousand years even after losing their political sovereignty.
