 Hi Guys,
this is Zsolt, a professional canoe guide from Hungary. After the great success of last year’s CS canoeing tour, we decided to create the second one in 2009.
There were 52 members from 16 countries joining the fun in 2008! Many of them say that it was one of the best weeks of their lives; we made lots of friends and had post - meetings in Brussels and Marseilles. Don’t worry, CS-spirit is high among us and we are open for everyone who wants to experience the FUN.

Last year we did canoeing on the Tisza, now it is time for some change. There is a protected branch of the Danube in North-Western Hungary, winding in beautiful forests and grasslands. That will be our new destination. Thousands of birds nest on this territory, you can see beavers in the wild, even swim around their nest and watch from under, because the water is crystal-clear there. This section is free from floods; the campsites are all huge and grassy; the locals are very friendly.
A unique action will take place: we’ll make a short detour from the Danube and visit the town of Mosonmagyaróvár; go sightseeing by canoe. This is a historically important place in Hungary with a nice castle and an interesting downtown. We’ll park the canoes 100m from the centre, I don’t think that anyone has been so crazy ever before.
After all, we are not going to care about anything else but talking to our old and new CS friends, eating delicious food, swimming in the river, laying on the beach and recharging our batteries from Nature. It is going to be a superb event with lots of fun, sunshine and relaxation. Members from all around the globe can join us. Physically it is not demanding at all, we will have enough time and energy to play games, make fire, sing, dance and drink some beer/wine/palinka in the evenings. Old members don’t forget: the killer game, water splashing from the canoes, war of numbers are going on! Some new games will be introduced as well.
We’ll spend the last night in GYŐR, and celebrate the birthday of our nomad ambassador and co-organizer Andras Foldvary who is a hyperactive CS-engine here in Hungary. Győr is the biggest city in Western Hungary, still has a charming downtown with friendly pubs, in walking distance from the camp we are going to stay at. We call it the city of rivers, as three rivers unite here.
As it is a true CS event we don’t want to make profit on it. So the more we are the less it costs! Discounts to earlybirds apply!
