COP15 hosts network - Copenhagen (Kobenhavn) and Malmo
In Copenhagen this December, global governments are gathering for ´COP15´, a UN conference to negotiate a new international treaty (a ´new Kyoto protocol´) to determine how we will solve climate change. It looks more and more likely that this negotiation process is going to disappoint - a disaster for all people and a disaster for the planet.
So, thousands of activists and advocates from around the world (including from developing nations) will be attending this conference and attending associated civil-society events, actions, protests and forums. Accommodation in Copenhagen is very expensive - especially for non-Europeans because of the exchange rates, and especially during such a large conference - so if you can host an activist, or two, or ten, in your home during COP15 (7th to 19th of December, 2009), join this group!
For residents of both Copenhagen and Malmo who care about climate change and who want to help.
The activists will usually be very busy during COP, starting meetings early in the morning and finishing late at night - a warm, safe place to stay will help a lot!
