Information for Vegan people in Berlin!
First of all, on berlin-vegan.de there is a short summary in English about vegan restaurants, food& groups. Their restaurant list in German is a lot more exhaustive& should be understandable for non-native speakers as well:
berlin-vegan.de, also summarized on a
map.
(To me:) Especially noteworthy all-vegan locations are mentioned below.
THE place to visit for the best vegan Mousse au Chocolat: The vegan gourmet temple: La Mano Verde!
lamanoverde.de.
Really, it IS worth the money. Then of course there is YoYo's in Friedrichshain. A lot cheaper fast food style stuff, yum.
Maja's Deli is just too cute but open only 12-20pm (sat. 12-19pm). Their chocolate chip cookies are YUMMY!
HansWurst Vegan Cafe is an excellent place to stuff yourself during a sunday brunch (11-14, 8-12 Euros).
Under Stressfaktor.squat.net you find a listing of all the squats/ alternative projects with 'Vokue' (Food not Bombs-like, donation-based). Most cook vegan (marked on the list).
Last but not least: Pay a visit to the Veganladen. An all-vegan health food shop in Kreuzberg- with vegan yummyness from allover the world.
