A group by Aymara (Jake Aru) speakers and friends for the world to know us. Aymaras are one of the largest surviving amerindian groups in the Americas, population 2+ million. Ancestral territories: the Altiplano throughout and across the Central Andes, From Tacna, Peru on the Pacific coast to the Yungas subtropics where the Amazon basin starts in Bolivia. From Puno, Peru north of Lake Titikaka, including the lake, to the southwest of Bolivia, Uyuni Salt flats and into the Atacama desert of northern Chile. In the spirit of CS to encourage a better understanding between native cultures and travelers. Meet this fascinating culture both modern and ancient: Urban as in the bustling cities of El Alto and La Paz or rural as in the communities of the Andes and Altiplano.
