The Japan CS organization is in charge of the ARCHIVED/OLD group. This is a container for the old/unused/archived groups of Japan. If no messages have been posted in a subgroup for three months, the Japan CS organization may ask to CUQ team to move its inactive subgroup to here. The final decision is made by CUQ. The reason is that a number of inactive and irrelevant groups would dilute important information for members. Anyone, who wants to make it reactive, can take it back if they request to CUQ or the moderator.
The Japan CS organization is a place for all active group moderators and CouchSurfers to organize CouchSurfing community and deal with administrative and technical issues. All group moderators of Japan sub-groups, CS ambassadors and heavily involved CS volunteers such as New Member Welcome team are welcome.
