Aujourd'hui le 13 decembre c'est la fête de la Sancta Lucia en Suède et j'ai envie de vous inviter la fêter avec moi le weekend prochain comme c'est qc qui n'existe pas ici. La Sancta Lucia est une fête fait pour donner un peu de lumière en hiver en attendant Noël. Le nom vient d'une sainte en Italie qui a été tué pour sa religion en 304 à Syracuse, mais notre fête n'a rien a voir avec ça. Cette journée-là on mange des gâteaux et des biscuits de Saint Lucia et on boire du chocolat chaud ou de "Glögg" en écoutant des choristes qui chantent des chansons de Saint Lucia.

Vous etês tous inviter la fêter avec moi VENDREDI prochain le 19 DÉCEMBRE à 21h00 chez Nicolas Jadot. Apportez ce que vous voulez boire, et pour ce qui veut s'habiller comme la Saint Lucia ils peuvent s'habiller en blanc avec des cheveu d'ange ou de la guirlande dans les cheveux. Sinon vous pouvez toujours venir comme père Noël aussi..:)

Hello everybody!

Today the 13th of december we are celebrating Sancta Lucia in Sweden and I feel like inviting you all celebrating it with me next weekend while it's something that doesn't exist here. The Sancta Lucia was founded to bright up the winter a bit while waiting for Christmas. The name has it's origin in Italy where a woman was killed in year 304 in Syracuse because of her faith, but our celebration has got nothing to do with that. This day we eat Sancta Lucia cakes and biscuits and we drink hot chocolate or "glögg" while listening to Sancta Lucia songs.

You are all invited to celebrate this great thing with me FRIDAY the 19th of DECEMBER at the place of Nicolas Jadot at 9 pm. Bring what you want to drink, and if you want to fit in with the theme for the night you could dress yourself in white and put some garland, festons or other christmas decorations in your hair. Otherwise you can always show up as Father Christmas himself...:)

By metro: Mont Royal/Laurier orange line.
In both cases you need to walk east (away from the mountain and the Saint Denis street). After 10-15 min walking you'll reach Papineau. If you came out at Mont Royal you need to go north (left), from Laurier it's to the south (right).
