my name is Dennis and I would like to do my thesis in Canada and I hope the Canadian cs community can help me with some of my questions...

I am studying Environmental Engineering in Germany. Next semester I will focus my studies on renewable energy technologies. At the moment I am considering working for a Canadian company or studying for a university engaged in renewable energy for one year (Spring 2009 - Spring 2010) and doing my thesis at the same time.

- Unfortunately, I don`t know the Canadian system of handling theses. Is it possible in Canada to work for a company and do my thesis at the same time?
- Are there any offers for students who want to do their theses in a company - especially in the field geothermal energy?
- Are there offers for foreign students who want to do their theses in a university?

I would be really glad if some people could help me with my questions and give me some information. Thanks very much for helping me....
