Help with info about Visa!

Hello people!!!!

We're looking for information about the Visa to go to China. We're in Spain, I'm Spanish and my husband is French, and we're trying to get the Visa to go to visit one friend of us (actually in CS) in Yunnan region for the Chinese new year eve.

In order to get the Visa, we're asked to give a hotel address, and the booking for the whole stay in China, plus the round trip tickets to get to China. The problem is that we're going to travel for several months in all Asia (South-East) and we can't be exactly sure about our route and about our schedule.
Thus, we don't know what's the best options we have to provide the information they ask.
Is it possible to explain that we're staying at a friend's and just give them his address and phone number?
What is the best/cheapest way to get some valid transportation ticket? Any tricks?

We would really appreciate to get some help on this and look forward to meet some of you!! :)

Hello everybody and thank you for your feedbacks!

First, let us clarify some points.
Yes, we just want the regular Visa : our plan was to get to China (by land) from Vietnam, stay in China about one month and a half (Yunnan + Tibet), maybe/probably more, and then go to Nepal.
That's why we were surprised by all those requirements.
But, indeed, GusGusGus : it's our first time.

So, finally, it seems that it's ok to make our friend sending an invitation to us instead of the hotel details. That's a relief.
We still need to solve the transportation issue : the only way to fulfill the in & out tickets is by plane, isn't it?
If so, are you aware of the cheapest flights from Vietnam or Laos to China? If possible, the closest to Yunnan would be the best for us, but let's don't push on this :) We are already looking for some, but we can't find lower than 250€...

Any help would be greatly appreciated ;)

Holaaaa!!!

E estado echando un ojo a tu post.. yo tuve el mismo problema ace unos dias cuando mande toda la informacion a la embajada para solicitar un visado..
al final lo que tuve que acer es montar un recorrido imaginario y acer unas reservas que probablemente cancelare despues sin cargo alguno

Hello everybody again!!!!!!

Does everybody knows if We can get a visa from Hanoi, Vietnam??? There's a Consulate there???

I know the easier way is through Macao or Hong Kong but We're in Vietnam and It would be better for us go to China from here....

Please if you have any info about let us to know!!!!
