Looking for flights in China
Posted February 10th, 2013 - 12:02 pm by from Frankfurt am Main, Germany (Permalink)
Hi there,

I am planing a trip starting in March in Beijing heading to Shangdong (Qufu) and then Guiyang. From Guiyang I want to explore the south: Sichuan, Guangxi and Hainan and then return from there to Beijing end of March.

Where can I find cheap flights for Shandong->Guiyang (March 10th) and Hainan->Beijing (March 27th)?

Thanks for you help!

Try www.elong.net

I don't think Qufu has an airport, Jinan has one but there might be other nearby cities.

Problem is that a lot of flights from/to less popular cities are not necessarily cheap, but what's cheap is also relative.

Hey! I'm not sure if there are airports in all of the cities you specified (and like Walter says, flying to smaller airports could be relatively more expensive), but you can check out these airlines that usually offer pretty cheap flights in/around China.

Spring Airlines - http://www.china-sss.com
June Yao Air - http://www.juneyaoair.com
Cathay Pacific - https://www.cathaypacific.com

If you can't find a city, you can try flying to an airport near the city you're looking for, and then taking public transportation to get to your final destination. Also maybe check out train and bus options. I'm not very familiar with the routes or the prices of taking the bus/train, but they are quite common methods for getting around, and the prices shouldn't be too ridiculous (although it could be more time-consuming). Let me know if you'd like me to do some investigating for you. Good luck!
