couch surfing a friend's house in Japan
Posted November 29th, 2012 - 11:30 am by from Rehovot, Israel (Permalink)
Hello guys.

I will be travelling to Japan in February.
I am going to stay with a couple of friends which I made thourgh this website - ad I'm learning Japanese, I looked for Japanese guys in my age group to speak to, and I have become friends with 2 of them.

They invited me to stay at their apartments for 3-4 nights each, which means I will stay in their 1-room apartment with them and disturb their privacy, which is really nice for them to offer.
I will also probably stay with the parents and family of one of them also.

i want to coonsult with you - what should I bring them?
I live in Israel, and we have lots of Dead Sea products here, but those are kind of expensive and I heard that bringing an expensive gift in Japan is kind of frowned uopn, as the other person would feel like he owes you.

So, what do you guys think I should bring them, as a thank you for their hospitality.

Thanks for your help.
