Hello fellow Earthlings!

This may seem like an odd request, but I would be SO appreciative of your help.

I'm working on a project to design English classes specifically for Japanese students. I want to make the classes as relevant and interesting as possible, and use authentic materials. Problem is, I haven't really spent any time in Japan. So I was wondering if you could tell me about...
- some English songs or artists that are popular in Japan
- some well-known Japanese fairy tales or cartoons
- what food and drinks are on a typical Japanese menu

Any help you guys could give me would be really, really, really special! Thank you so much!

Ah, and games, sports, pasttimes, hobbies that are popular there, clothing, anything interesting, cultural, and specific to Japan.

Many japanese people are important to spend the new years day than X'mas.In my case,basically,I will spend with my parents and my brother's family.
If someone married with you,you and someone must greet each parents between 1 and 3th Jan.
If you do not greet each parents for this terms, family's relations will worsen.

It's the same as X'mas of your country.

Hi! I am a Japanese guy and I live on Oahu, HI. I'm 22 years old. I don't know who or what age groups you are going to teach, and I cannot tell what kind of music is popular in Japan in general since everybody has their own tastes when it comes to English music. I think taylor swift, Bruno Mars, justin bieber, avril lavigne , and one direction are popular for young girls. My friends and I used to listen to Oasis, U2, cold play, and sum 41 when we were in high school. Maroon 5, katy petty, and Rihanna are popular too.

I think the most popular caroons are One Piece, Naruto, Bleach. These are popular not only in Japan but also in other countries, too.

A lot of Japanese people love Sushi and Ramen. There are so many ramen shop in japan, and each one has a different style and taste. Tonkatsu (Fried Pork) , Udon (noodles), Gyudon (Beef Bowl), Yakiniku (Japanese style BBQ) Tenpura (fried fish and vegetables) are also main japanese food.

Again, those are my opinions but I hope this would help you understand little bit of Japanese culture. If you need to know more about Japan, please free to ask questions.

All Micheal Jackson songs are great!
Earth Wind ＆ fire　”September” will be sad song,but when many Japanese listened the music on Lock bar,I am sure they will dance.good rhythm.
