Multilingual Taboo Game
Posted June 16th, 2011 - 8:41 am by from Berlin, Germany (Permalink)
You know Taboo, right? It's where your group has to guess a word and you have to explain it to them, but without using a certain set of other words. For example, try to make someone say the word "horse" without using the words
* animal
* ride
* back
* gallop
* neigh

My boyfriend and I are developing this kind of game for iPhone, and it will be multilingual. It will also be suitable for foreign language learning - playing this in another language can really help your ability to express yourself.

Do you want to be part of this? We're looking for a few people to think of more words or to translate words into their language. This is a fun task that can be done online, through a private website we set up. Contact me for the link and password.

Sounds fascinating. I'm with Awen though - don't use mac stuff. Port it somewhere else? Great...

I know the game, tho never played it virtually/digitally, I have played Taboo with a real deck of card. It was one interesting card game. I'd be glad to lend you my hands for your projects... B-)
