A usual I don't agree on two points! There are teams of scientists and psychologists and just ordinary folk like me who are exploring the effectiveness of traditional beliefs and practices over modern trends.
I myself learned over this last illness of mine that Gymning over the last two years made me more 'rajasik' and created cravings that I never had before. I returned to yogasanas and other yogic practices, giving up gym, and have lost 9 kgs in 2 and a half months. Calming the mind was the key, as I read in a book on Yoga and Diabetes.
The second point I disagree with is that the body doesn't want to excercise. Just like some people love painting, others love singing, others love dancing, others love studying, reading, trekking...there are millions of people who love excercise. As you know, if you call John to a couchsurfing eating meet, he will never come, but if you call him for a game of badminton he will not be able to reach there fast enough! I too, love walking and cycling, and did so till the roads become too congested over the last few years.
I'm back, and happy to be arguing with you again!!
Love,
Urmila.
