Give me back my wings and let me fly, Over sun-bleached field up to the sky. Let me, let me, Don’t forget me… On your way please let me be your guide, Keep your head up while you see me glide Through the open sky, never ask me why… Keep the pace and follow where I go There’s a country where milk and honey flow Let’s go there, it’s only fair After all the trouble we’ve been through. Don’t forget, that time is on our side, Let nobody take you for a ride Carry you head up high, You can also fligh Pull yourself together just don’t hide. We can work together hand-in-hand. Till we reach the best for our land Get your asses up, don’t you dare to stop. Everybody counts let’s make amends Don’t let down your kids while on your way Kids don’t want to suffer, want to play Get your spirits up There’s no need to stop ‘cause you’ve found a better way today Can we really make it till the end Of a life of trouble, where nobody’s your friend? Are we up to it? Having had too much shit From the so-called politicians of our land. ingrid.merkmal 2009-12-04 |
