Hi all!
Sorry for cross-posting to here and the general Berlin group...but thought i may find some foodies in crime here.
I've been joining people together to start building a food cooperative - which rests on the simple principles of
- being a working membership coop
- carrying only vegetarian products
- and when possible: bulk and regional. Rice and chickpea flour according to the kilo you choose, yeeaaaah!
All non-vegan products will be only from local small farmers we can visit. I'd love it to be vegan, but afraid it won't survive as a business model...at least not at first. :( But we can do lots of awareness-raising on animal rights. :)
My grand idea is to open the food cooperative in conjunction with a vegan cafe...then we hopefully would not have to carry non-vegan products to make the whole thing work...hm...
Anyways, if you're interested and/or if you got ideas:

Hey Ho!
I'm afraid Berlin is too far for shopping. Anyhow!!!!
PLEASE, Berlin has so many vegan restaurants now! Anyone want to open a cozy place in Babelsberg!?? Regular customers are promised! Anyone who wants to get to know the situation is welcome to contact me and come over for a cup of coffee..
Katti, good luck with the coop endeavor!
