As u are new to CS,your arrival is just in a few weeks so there is still plenty of time to get an invitation - pls try the classical way to ask for a Host in Vienna and fill out the form online for hosting.

Im trying to learn about couchsurfing in this days and how it works so i can get the best of it, wish i could have a place to host either so the experience would be even nicer but im leaving soon but as soon as i have my own place i will ;)

from Vienna, Austria (Permalink)No worries,just visit the Homepage of CS and click on the top on "surf" and follow the steps thats showing.
Write abt your plans in the city and some short notice abt yourself with the exact date u looking for.
I can recommend you to work abit on your profile as for the most Host its the first impression of the person whom they invite.
