yesterday i was around a beach and i asked the lady does this bread have any meat..she said no! any pollo?no! and so i bought it and later when i was in a village i saw the same thing and i thought wow it is the veg stuff i had in the morning..but i just ask what it is and the lady says king fish?!?! what ..i choke and now i understand why my stomach has been giving me cramps since morning.and why i felt so lucky when i could find something sooo simple for breakfast.
so i reality i leave in 4 days for india and frankly i willllllllllllllllll not miss the food from here.
sorry to say this but anybody who has been to india will understand what i mean.

i know what you mean, the amount of times i was lied to about things containing meat was so frustrating! i had to start being really specific with my questions, asking if something contains meat is not enough. once i even asked if a soup contained chicken, was told no, and then found little bits of chicken in it. when i asked about it i was told oh, yes but its only in the stock! aaaahhhhhhh!!!!!
thanks for all your posts, i'm returning to south america in a couple of months and i'm sure your advice will be useful.

well, i am back in india and believe it or not i miss the clumsiness of south america. i hope you enjoy your trip and i hope you don't have a day where you cannot get some veg food. I miss the people from south america, not food , not the nature...just the music ,energy and people.enjoy it.
