Yes, it's possible. You will go to border, pass the Iranian side quite easily. Then they will make you wait for 30 minutes (15 minutes, if you have an electronic visa, which is way easier). You'll pay about 15 USD, and you are in. But there are just taxis near the border. So you'll have to pay about 100 dollars for a cab to anywhere. They will charge you for the same amount wherever you want to go in the country. You can share it with people, if there are some.

as far as i know we will need (turkish citizens at least) a photocopy of the passport, some pictures and the visa fee. i will go to armenia from Georgia and then iran. i will be in Georgia 27 november and after spending around 10 days i will get to Armenia.

i arrived in Yerevan a few hours ago. Found a hostel to stay got out for a little walk and even i had antep lahmacun!!! city and everything look fantastic.
i came crossing the land border from Georgia. at the border they made a photocopy of my passport got me fill in a form and pay $10 (3000 AMD) and they gave me 21 days long visa. There was no problem at all and everybody was very helpfull.
