I know what you mean about the camp on the beach at Port Townsend -- what a great place!
When I checked it out, I found it to be a little pricier than I was comfortable with, though, so I've always stayed at the County Fair park and then driven over to the beach in the car. I'd like to launch one of my kites over there on the beach, and that would be a lot more fun if someone were with me, so maybe we should think more about your offer to come along!
I just glanced at the stuff that's supposed to be happening in Seattle. To be honest, because Seattle itself is not a particularly friendly place to maneuver a motor home, I tend to focus more on stuff that's out in the boondocks -- such as Whidbey Island.
Still hoping someone will answer my technical questions about the State Park!

Hi, Paul welcome to the camping group, as for the price of camp site, I think someone might chip in, hope to meet you in person in June. I see you have a red mini Daschund, I have one red one too name Darly, he is 9 years old male, will you take your Daschund along when camping?

I have two dachshunds, the one in the picture is about 4 years old (or maybe it's 5 now!) The other one is about 13, and he is a lighter red color. The one in the picture is Snooper, and the other one is Shorty.
Both are rescued dogs. I got Shorty from an agency in Anchorage, AK, and I got Snooper from an agency in Tucson, AZ. At the same time I got Shorty, I also got another dog from the Anchorage agency -- his name was Pooder. Pooder died of a heart attack on the morning of the 11th of July in 2007. He's buried in the property I just sold in Arizona.
I live in my motor home, so, yes, I'll be bringing my dogs with me because they go everywhere my home goes.
I'm hoping to meet you and everybody else at the Whidbey Island get-together, but I first need to find out the details about the arrangements so I'll know how to proceed with making a reservation (or not, if I don't need to!)

Oh, OK, I think I get it.
There really was no reservation done at the South Whidbey Park, this was all just in the planning stage. Well, since I likely won't be participating in the main shindig in Seattle, it would probably make sense for me not to worry about doing any kind of meetup on Whidbey Island.
I'm still up for your idea of joining me up around Port Townsend, though! I'm penciling in a stay at a place where I can stay for free in Sequim, and a few days at the County Park in PT with day trips to the beach would be a lot of fun!
