a few answers. benjamin, feel free to correct me.

i'm ok with the CS Basecamp being another safe zone. actually, i've never been there. didn't it just move to the city? i'd like to visit some time.

this website answers many questions: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assassin_(game)

and here's more: http://www.sassins.com/assassins/assassins

benjamin, that last website (sassins.com) has some game-tracking features that would make running the game much smoother. you might want to check it out and see if it's worth putting our game on that site, if you haven't checked it out already.

when you kill your target, you notify benjamin (http://www.couchsurfing.com/people/royalaxation/), probably via CS email, and he will verify with your target that you indeed killed him/her. your target is then removed from the game (i.e. they are no longer going after their target), and benjamin gives you the name of their former target, who now becomes yours.

your next question, about killing your attacker before they attack you: this question is invalid in all cases except when the game has been reduced to 2 players. there is only 1 person that you are allowed to kill at any given point in time: your target. because everyone has only 1 target and the assassin/target chain makes a complete circle, the person who is targeting you is most certainly not your target (unless, as i mentioned before, the game is down to 2 players). therefore, you may not kill your attacker because he/she is not your target. make sense?

as for photo evidence, these decisions are up to benjamin. different assassin games have different rules to shake things up, so requiring some kind of post-kill picture wouldn't be out of the question.

benjamin, please let me know if i've made any mistakes.

I've posted complete rules to a different thread to make them more conspicuous. I address your concerns and questions in that thread, Jonathon. Thanks for your post.
