What are your plans for the Summer?
Posted May 15th, 2009 - 1:10 pm by  from Alpharetta, United States (Permalink)Hi, everyone, I was just wondering what is everyone doing for the Summer (in the Northern Hemisphere, it is Winter in the Southern, I know...) If you are staying in your city, what do you enjoy doing with your family there?

We plan to go hiking (short trails with my almost 2 yr old!), swimming at the pool or the lake, visiting one of the many places nearby that allow us to have contact with animals (state parks, kangoroo preserve, zoo, aquarium). There will be probably some trips to the river to go kayaking or just floating down the gentle stream on an inflatable, which is a lot of fun on a hot day, because the river is so cold. I'm looking foward to arts festivals nearby and lovely evenings at the park. They screen movies at the park in the summer (family movies or older films)as well as hold free evening concerts (anything from rock to classical). I love the summer months!
