Intersted in hosting families with kids in Cracow (Poland) and meeting CS members during our trip to US planned for secod part of August 2011

Dear all,
We're new at CS so I will introduce ourselves: we are a family of 4: Tomasz (38 y.o), Dominika (37 y.o) + Jagoda (5 y.o.) and Stas (just 1 year old - he will have a birthday in a week :)
We travel quite a lot and so do our kids (our daughter was living few weeks among Tzutzuhil Indians in Guatemala when she was 1,5 year old and our son in an age of 3 months travelled with us through The Balkans, sleeping in a tent, and 3 months later we took him to Indonesia). Jagoda is really eager for visiting new places and she likes an athmosphere of airports and railway stations :) She feels there like at home.
In our travels we try to learn about local cultures and habbits, taste regional cuisine etc.

We live in Cracow, which is one of most beautiful cities in Poland, with over 1000 year history (for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Krak%C3%B3w ;) And what we like in Cracow is its big old centre, which lets us, if we live somewhere there, reach most of the important places on foot or by bike (so no need to use a car or a bus too often).

And we are open for hosting families from different regions of the globe at our home and also we would like to meet new friends while travelling abroad. This year we would like to spend 3 weeks (starting from 15th of August) on visiting north-eastern part of USA (with maybe short drop to Canada). We would like to rent a car, and stay for nights at hostels, campground and possibly do some couch surfing :) All the tips and suggestions regarding this region are welcome :)
So, we are looking forward nice relations with the CS community hoping to start great adventure!

Hi Tomasz, Dominika, Jagoda (what a cool name!) and Stas;
Welcome to the "official" couchsurfing world. We are family of 5 with our middle daughter Paivi the same age as Jagoda. If you were ever interested in exploring not so exotic but still beautiful lands come over to Kerry, Ireland and stay with us for a while; we all love camping and outdoors and Kerry is great for this stuff.

Hi Sona,
Thanks for your invitation - Ireland is pretty nice place. These green rolling hills and beautiful coasts with sandy beaches (empty ones!) and cliffs are worth visiting for sure!

And of course Cracow welcomes you, too :)

ps. Jagoda in Polish means "blueberry" :) which can be especially interesting when we go to Czech Rep or Slovakia and notice that in these countries "jahoda" means "strawberry". A bit confusing, but at the end of the day: friutful ;)

Hi Kevin,

Vienna is one of my favourite cities in Central Europe and it's just few hours by car from us. So a weekend jump there is quite possible.
