hi there! i'm not vegan but vegetarian. whenever i go to paris, i head for "le marais" which is both jewish and gay quarters. there you can have nice "falafels" (chickpea balls with shredded vegetables in pita bread) in "Rue des Rosiers". my favourite place is called "l'as du falafel" but all of them are pretty good. ask for "un special, s'il vous plait" and it comes with humus/spicy sauce and grilled aubergines on top. it's dead cheap and delicious. the closest metro station is saint paul. in the same area, try the café at the "institut suédois". they have nice soups and wonderful cakes but i'm don't know if anything is vegan-friendly apart from the soups...
enjoy your stay
phil
ps: do you stay in paris all the time? i would advise you to visit at least one other french town to see what france really is :-)
