Some people see the word "vegan" and don't really know what that means.
It might be helpful to describe what you DO eat, e.g., "cereal for breakfast with soy milk, rice and beans for lunch, all and any vegetables, fruits, nuts..."
When people find out what I DO eat, their reaction is usually "Oh...that doesn't seem so different".
I try to offer to make a big pot of soup with biscuits or dumplings. Everyone understands that.

I had no idea about that option, never payed attention, of course I'l do that :)
And Cherie- Its much more than them having something for me to eat. I know I can get along great with non vegan hosts, and did already, but I prefer getting to know vegan people, more intresting for me, atm.
