Vegan Chocolate does it exist in normal shops?

Hi guys,

I recently started a vegan diet. I would like to know if you can buy vegan chocolate at normal supermarkets in Sydney, Australia. I looked it up on google and people said that Lindt dark chocolate was vegan. I found that it has milk solids in the ingredients. It would be great to eat chocolate again.

Hi Shiva,
Here in the Netherlands most dark chocolate bars are vegan, have you tried looking at other brands? I was in Switzerland a little while back and I couldn't find any vegan chocolate, all of them contained butterfat, including the dark chocs. I say this because Lindt is Swiss, too, so I'd be surprised if they did do a vegan chocolate, but other brands may.
ciao,
Charlotte

Most of the dark chocolate wich is made for cooking and baking should be sweet, creamy and vegan! check that ones ;)

I can't believe how often tasty-looking dark chocolate contains milk or animal fat!

All you have to do is read the ingredients carefully.

Natalia is right, the most likely to be vegan are those used for pâtisserie.
