Happily Ever After: The First Ever CS Europe Vegetarian and Vegan Singles Mingles Weekend! Berlin, Germany
Posted July 9th, 2011 - 1:39 pm by  from Berlin, Germany (Permalink)hi all...yes, you read that subject line correctly! inspired by the CSers that started the Vegan Singles Finding Vegan Love group {http://www.couchsurfing.org/group.html?gid=38789} . . . and inspired by wanting to pursue my own veghead mate – and wanting to help my other single veghead friends do the same . . . I am organizing: Happily Ever After: The First Ever CS Europe Vegetarians and Vegans Singles Mingles Weekend For: Single Vegetarians and Vegans living in Europe (or any other single vegheads from afar, too!) Purpose: Find your veghead mate, or fling, or obsession, or playmate…or at least some new single friends to hang with; chill out with like-minded people for 3 days in Europe’s best veg city! Where: Berlin, Germany When: September 30th – 2 October (but maybe plan on spending a few extra days to get better acquainted, or take side trips to Ostsee or Poland ;) ) Concept: Activities and meals based around all of the wunderbar vegetarian and vegan and green options available in Berlin – with city and nature-based outings and options for kids and/or dogs. (exotic pets like pigs and boa constrictors can also be accommodated for). So, don’t be shy, here’s your chance to overtly come together and link up link in hook up sink in synchronise harmonise and establish a CS Europe Single Vegheads community! A google blogspot will soon be posted with information and registration…of course, with CS, accommodations should be free (!) and costs are up to you otherwise! Average prices for meals at different restaurants and cafes will be provided beforehand so you can budget if you want. ;) Ideas? Comments? Want to help organize? Here’s to happily ever afters, Kap

I plan on posting around the berlin vegan and vegetarian groups...including some facebook groups...but do you have some other german national website.webgroup ideas? lg k ps and let me know if you have any questions about moving to/living in deutschland!

As to places where to post about the event, I was thinking of - vegan.de which is the largest forum-based community for vegans in Germany. I'd suggest you post to the categories "Termine" (dates; http://vegan.de/foren/list.php?155) and "Kontaktbörse" (networking & dating; http://vegan.de/foren/list.php?75). Yeah, you have to register to post, but at least everyone can read posts. - http://www.berlin-vegan.de/ which is the biggest vegan-related website in Berlin (as far as I know). They focus on animal rights activities but might still be willing to add your event to their website. - http://www.veggiecommunity.org/en is a large, mostly german-language, dating website for veg(etari)ans. Posted July 13th, 2011 - 2:21 am by from Berlin, Germany (Permalink)@ Anja, danks! i haven't gotten that many positive replies yet ;) it would be suppppper hilfreich if you could post in the places you mentioned...i also thought about vegan berlin - their facebook group is active, too (though i'm not really on facebook)... would you be willing to post in those 3 places?...thanks for offering to help! @ Brittany, come on over! :) ...and if not, i hope this inspired you to hold one in your neck of the woods.... @ everyone else, if you're interested - there's now an official CS event on the calendar...search by city or the dates. i think the more people who register, the more it will be taken seriously... cheers, Kap

One quality that Vermont is severely lacking though is the wonderful degree of vegan-friendliness so common out this way. I am interested in helping to organize one or more such events out here, though I would prefer to assist rather than take the lead organizing role... That said, I would love to get your advice, hear about your experiences & see your suggestions based on the weekend your organized!
