Dinner/Gathering

Hello Everyone,

Well our veggie family is growing and growing and I think it is about time we have a reunion!??!?!

What do you all think.

Lets pick a date and then I will send out an "official" gathering invite!

I found a amazing little secret today that I would like to be the place, because I would like to share it with you all. Dinner at the Peace Cafe HERE:

For those of you who do not read Chinese you can get there by taking MRT on the red line to the end stop Xin Dian and then go to the 711 behind the station (be carefull as there are 3 711s right next to the exit:)
in front of that 711 is the bus stop for Green 3 bus, take it to the terminal stop at Garden City...can miss it as the bus driver will kick you off. Then walk 30 seconds behind where the bus stopped and you are there!!

I checked there hours and because they are only open until 9 I think Saturday might be better as if you get off work around 7 it could take an hour and half to get there....so no time to eat. (What do you think Suresh?)

So we could make it for Saturday the 19 at 7-7:30!?!?

Any other suggestions?

Or we can do it on Sunday. It's suitable day for everyone. So we can have more time to spend more time with green locality and also get fresh air. If Sunday some of u are free, we can also go hiking/hot spring @ Wulai. On the way back, stop over @ vegan shop for dinner.

That's a great idea unfortunately I would not be available until maybe after 4 on Sunday anyway. So if you would like to organize something like that I am sure many people would be interested, as that whole area around there is SOOOOO beautiful!!!

Up to you all...haven't heard from anyone else....
any suggestions???

hahah It seems our V and V are still in CNY vacation. For this time, we can meet @ Xindian metro exit on Sunday evening 5 pm and then go to "Peace Cafe" for dinner.

Looking fwd to see some of you..

As we haven't gotten much response and it is supposed to be pouring rain all day tomorrow, AND I think your hiking first idea is great (to really take advantage of the trip up there)
Let us postpone this dinner. Then that will give us more time to send out an official invitation and hopefully get some more people involved to make it a real gathering.

Sorry for the late reply.
I agree with Kristina, I really like the hiking idea but the weather is bad this weekend. Maybe we can postpone it and wait for more responses. :o)

Hi,

Just for your reference, I just called them to check the price. The food is around 100 NT per dish. (eg, pizza is 85 NT) Quite reasonable.
When we fixed the time, I will check if we need reservation or not.

Their opening hour is Tuesday to Sunday 11:00 - 21:00
