The teacher reinforced all that with comments like "Oh what a Good Little Girl!" Irene, which little girl were you? Like Glenn and Kris....what I have, I own.....no debts....and as I write my thoughts here, no real desires except to be close to those I care for......and hopefully, to repay what I owe to those who gave their time and resources when I needed them.... So I would do just that.....educate the children of the staff that has worked in my family over the years. For this my father has already established a trust...and I would make sure that it fulfills its purpose... .....If money can change lives for the better....maybe financially help some of my friends, and leave whatever I have to the institution that gave me a life and a career....they will always have a need..... may sound whacky to some......but here I am totally with Virginia....its not a goody-two-shoes thing.....its just that I have finally got the answer to another trick question; "How much is enough?" After a long absence here (I never was so busy as after retirement last year....) it was good to see that many 'old' CS-friends are still alive and active. Probably I have missed many interesting discussions here but sometimes it's inevitable to make choices. About the question of Lars: unfortunately the amount is not large enough to make a really interesting fund for third world projects helping directly people fishing (in stead to give fish), but I would like to do that. I would also give a part to our children who are in a stage of their life with high costs. And I would support some cultural initiatives in my hometown. But I also agree with those who say it's better to ask such a question WHILE talking with people who are visiting you than to consider the answer as a condition for accepting people in advance. But is's nice provocative question and I know Lars would never ask such a question in real life.... Peter This member has chosen to allow only Couchsurfing members to see their group posts.
