Glad you're in good shape, as is a friend of mine who lives on Park at 86th. However, another friend of mine lives near Astor Place, in a *basement* apartment, and not even his answering machine is picking up. This does not bode well.

Other than my waiting to hear, any ideas on how to find out what is happening to folks down in that part of Manhattan?

To realize other's EMOTIONAL traumas during times like these is most important.
