Help! HARDWARE...for Parametric 3dModelling and rendering BUYING A LAPTOP.
H E L P!
Hello to all!, I hope u are right. The reason for this post is this concern, I am looking for guidance from people who work with parametric modeling programs like Autodesk Inventor or solidwork, Alias autodesk, ProEngineer, etc. .. or as the same 3d studio and this ... finally renders requred for video, eg loss trabajadno in After effects .. and here they can share their experience with hardware (specifically a laptop).
That this happened to make my query, and it is this: I need a laptop (have it as workstation) for parametric modeling what would you recommend? Given a moderate budget for me would be desirable economic team, I am between the Dell and Toshiba option, I would like to tell me suggestions for processor, would recommend to work with Quad core, or try the new intel core I suddenly the core i3 (that according to my budget).
According to this, also let me know a little about the graphics card what do you think for this?, Many of the options that I find here in Venezuela brought by ATI RADEON Video, however I have always worked with NVIDIA then I do not know anything about the performance the first, and what the minimum memory (video) that I recommend to think the video card. The Chipset composed respond well?
Ok, I think it's all the time. I saw these two issues as relevant in making my final decision, I need to buy the machine as soon as possible. The multitasking performance of the machine also would be another premise.
I have seen in DELL inspiron with 4g of ram, 500 dd, the two cores. But there is an option a little expensive as the model is precission quad with a QUAD CORE CPU - then at this last met TOSHIBA an option, which price, makes me think my decision This is the model L655 s5076 ram 4g, per the same card is being radeon. What do you recommend? I'm quite confused, and I would like to work quietly on this machine with the programs mentioned above. I'm an industrial designer, but eventually I come chances in the audiovisual area, and to be honest with my desktop which has an Nvidia 8000 series video (but with dedicated 1g) m. .. I've been a bit unhappy.
Thank you so much for the opinion of anyone who would guide me in this topic.
Greetings!

Qué me recomiendan?
saludos!

Please post the full specs of your 3 options, otherwise it is hard to understand which laptop has which hardware and how much it costs :)
3D rendering can be very parallelizable, so I recommend as many cores as you can afford and lots of RAM. 3D processing software don't depend as much on your graphics card as games do (usually most rendering is done by the processor) unless your graphics card is one of the latest NVIDIA cards and your programs use it as a co-processor through the CUDA API.
For the same reason, the only place where the on-gfx-card memory will be useful is during real-time previews/tours of the things you design, not so much during the actual design process.
Of course, all that are just IMHO :)
