It was my thought for some time to start up a group for 50s+ Travellers USA. I travel a fair amount across the USA and seek first, mature aged profiles. Always a daunting search!
So thought to start up such a niche group would a great resource for us to find one another and therby get more 50's + activly engaged in this wonderful concept.
A search before starting up such group, lead me to this one...which I could not gage to be same idea/mission. I surely dont want to create an overlap or competition w this one.
But the title, '50s+ Travellers USA Hosts,'gave me pause: This group is for Hosts?? Then there is still a need for a 50's+ site inclusive of hosting, surfing, finding travel mates, forming meetups, and all the related conversation.
Might I ask the 25 or so members here, and with all respect to THIS groups founder, if that would be a group of interests?
You may want to also join the over 55 group. There are also other special interest groups that you can find with a search. We don't have many posts on this group so whatever your topic, it probably would be welcomed. We surf couches and love to host. We currently have room for several people and would love to host over fifty. We have had great experiences with CS. The vast majority of CS are younger, but our group is growing. Hosting or surfing can be a great adventure in itself and we have had all positive experiences.HEY EVERYBODY - VISIT US IN BATTLE CREEK!
When I signed up for this group, I did so thinking it was for anyone over 50 who wanted to surf or host...so it might be good to encourage people to join one group so that we won't 'dilute' the members in this age group?
Perhaps you can contact the 'administrator' of the group and see if the want to revise the name of the group? ...or not. ;-)
@ Greg. Thanks and yes I am in the other over 55 group. Which is probably how I found this one. It is very active.
My travel/teaching has never included anyhting near Michigan, Battle Creek but if ever I do....
@Susan. Yes for sure it is not my wish to create a group that would dilute this one. Which is why I posed the question.
