Hi Sally,

Thank you for talking with us about your experience. Though I have not had, and likely will not have children in this life, I have thought about it often over the years.

It may not be useful to you, but I remember going through the process with an unmarried friend during the time she carried her unplanned pregnancy as she considered and then decided to have an abortion. I had a sense that her baby was with her, even for that short period of time, to give her a gift. It may be possible, and you may already be doing it, to celebrate the time your son's spirit chose to be with you, even if he then, for his own reasons, chose to leave earlier than you had expected.
