I liked the idea so much, I'm also not active for a while here around but I would like to be a part of the organisation team as a volunteer! I was an active volunteer of Greenpeace mediterranean so I was doing lots of organisation and action plannings but since i came to Vienna I'm kinda more into my life.. i would like to have a change with this great idea, so you can count me in :)

Hi everybody :-)

I really like your idea! I can't organise, as I don't have time, but I think I can help u, as I'm doin' a very similar thing with my friends since some years:

we, maybe like you, where fed up with all this senseless commercial festivals, leaving nothing but destruction and waste.
we had the vision of a festival combining fun & meaning and created the partycipation festival, a festival where sustainability is lived and spread in a light way.
It is a festival for music, creativity and a livable future. located just 30km from vienna with a good connection by train, it's still in nature and next to the ecological settlement, where we grew up.
the partycipation festival has 2 parts:
the Partycipation Camp, a summer camp for 50-80 people, where there are lots of different workshops, activities & open space, empowering people in a creative & amusing way, to see themselves as active shapers of the future.
this mindset and feeling is then transferred into the Partycipaton Festival, where there will be up to 500 guests and of course bands, djs, party & workshops.

not to forget, it will take place from 7th til 15th of july this year, so better mark it in your schedule, that we can visit each others fest ;-)

as we are organising the festival for the 5th time now, we might help you out with some experience, ressources (PA, party-tents..) and contacts, or maybe some of you also wanna gain experience by joining the existing team (we're all under 26 and very easy going), volunteering or partycipating at the event :-)

I'm not sure yet, if I can make it on thursday, but anyway I'd really like to hear from you, so maybe one of the organisers might ring me up, and we can just chat about your ideas, that would be nice!

hope to hear and read from you!
cheers
Julian

thanks for the offers pedaro and julian! we'll discuss tomorrow at the meeting and I will post an update here or send you a message each.

I spoke with mike who is the owner of the flying pig and tomorrow he will cook vegetarian food so if anyone comes hungry (as I usually do) then you can order a plate of whatever he makes. I've eaten there a few times and the food is usually very good and affordable.

see you there!

I think also that this is a great location for our summerfest! :-) They even have hammocks there, so that's a good pre-condition. ;-)

It is a great place, you will love it!
I know they have a lot of people going, so you should book it asap!
