My good buddy Brewster and me, and friends Jesse & Liz are caravaning to the desert. We're driving Brewster's ultra comfy conversion van out there, leaving in just over a week on August 22 or 23 and returning by Friday Sept. 10. I've been scouting routes and our goal heading out is to cover 2,600 miles in six days, with heavy driving early on so we can relax and see some parks and sites later in the trip. The van is super comfortable, with four captain's chairs and tons of legroom, freshly serviced A/C, and ample space for your gear & bike. Costs will be really low; just plan to pitch in for gas, and of course cover your own food, lodging and entertainment. We plan to camp or stay in affordable or free places with friends. We're heading out from Washington, DC.


Skip airport security, your bags lost in St. Louis, having to rent a car in Reno, and myriad other hassles. See the country and have a full 19 day Burning adventure! Progress has driven to BRC several times and has all the know-how; I've also done some XC driving. This is the van's maiden voyage to da Playa. I'm in Great Balls of Fire and the van will probably be parked with Progress at Camp Contact.

If you are or know someone that's intrigued, please give me a shout. As of now there's definitely one seat open round-trip, and possibly two or three.
