It's very unlikely that you will find one. The reason being that boats are avoiding the horn of Africa because of the threat of Somali pirates.

but keep in mind that is a good period to go westwards to ;
usually the dry monsoon blow from sept to march :-)

I agree it will be difficult. The places to check are online at SSCA and Noonsite for any boats organizing a convoy or telling about their plans.

The Med Red Rally has not been held for a couple of years.

This has also passed but is an example.

Annual Rally between Cochin, India and Turkey. 2012: Due to the pirate threat rally will run from Alanya, Turkey to Massawa and back. Departure: September 22, 2012 and return May 2013.

A lot of boats are at the King's Regatta around Christmas in Thailand before traveling west (though it is more likely south and west toward South Africa). In India, you might check Cochin Harbour and Galle in Sri Lanka.

Hi Christine,

Its really said to know that Vascodagama rally can not come to India due to Pirates me and my hubby was part of this rally twice.

As of now in Cochin i think there are only two boats and both of the boat Capt. are planing to sail south east Asia next year.
