Location: Adventures and Travelogues >> Couchsailing International Novice looking for info about sailing from Brazil to Caribbean...
Hello all, I have always had dreams about sailing the great seas. Now I am looking to fulfill those dreams. I am interested in going from Brazil to the Caribbean. Ideally I would like to leave from Salvador and go to the Northern coast of Colombia. I am flexible though and doing any portion of this by sailboat would be very cool! If anyone could share some info or point me towards some good resources it would be much appreciated. Thanks and Happy Sailing James The World ARC rally just arrived in Salvador, heading to the Caribbean - there are lots of boats looking for crew Wow Dave, thanks for the heads up! This looks awesome. Any more advice you could give me on finding a boat to crew on? Contacts, websites etc? I am a complete novice other than a bit of lake sailing on a small cat. Cheers, JJFG Your best bet is to find the marina(s) they're staying at and ask. They have events you may be able to tag along to also where you could meet the yachties look through this site http://www.worldcruising.com/world_arc/event.aspx |
