advice wanted regarding big boat sea time (deck cadet)
Posted January 28th, 2013 - 4:27 am by  from West Vancouver, Canada (Permalink)Hello, I'm a deck cadet in Canada, we require sea time for our program and the assumption is it will be on freighters, cruise ships or something similar. However a sailing yacht with a qualified (and interested) skipper would meet the requirements. I was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding finding a boat like that. My usual practice of standing on the dock and getting a ride wouldn't work as it does need to be more formal with paperwork, seaphase assignments and other exciting things.
